Ultimate Writing Goal

Welcome to July!

This month’s IWSG question asks: what are your ultimate writing goals, and how have they changed over time?

My ultimate goal is to write a DGB.

The goal has not changed over time, but my methods have changed powerfully.

My ultimate writing goal ...

  1. My comments kept getting eaten, so changed browser. My habits and methods have changed as well, and my goals expanded lol. Happy IWSG Day!

Well that didn’t work so signed in with another account.

      1. I also see your gobbled comments in the ether. I’ll whisk them away for you.

    1. DGB is the only part of this career I can control. Thanks for checking in, Ronel!

  2. I love the illustration! My writing methods settled a long time ago into something that works really well for me. My goals may have changed over the years, but the way I try to achieve my goals has remained more or less the same.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, JS! The IWSG day sneaked up on me so, as you can see, I cheated by posting a doodle. Interesting that you’ve been consistent in your approach to writing throughout your career. My approach has changed radically, but then I’ve been doing this for more years than I’ll confess to. The most significant change is that I’ve become more methodical, especially in plotting. As writers we’re all so different, but then we’re so much the same in a lot of ways too.

      1. I find it interesting how, for both of us, certain things stay the same while other things change. I think that’s important: that there’s at least one thing that remains constant.
